Big Buddha Phuket

I was excited to go back to see the Big Buddha as i had just purchased a drone a couple days prior and this would be my virgin flight. Not two minutes after i got it into the air, security came and said i was not allowed to fly here.
Big Buddha located in the southern part of Phuket island overlooks Ao Chalong Bay.
Standing at 45 meters (148 feet) it is the third tallest statue in Thailand. Built from Burmese white marble at a cost of just under one million dollars to date.
You really appreciate the size as you get to the base of the Buddha and look up.
Adjacent to the Big Budhha is a smaller brass version that stands 9 meters (30 feet) tall with the same features.
These thirty two buddhas represent the thirty two parts of your body. By saying a small prayer and small donation into each of the small black receptacles issaid to bring you health and well being.
Although not a real large temple, there is still plenty to see.
You can take steps up behind the Big Buddha that is more in tune with nature. Along this route their are various stone statues.
The road leading up and down from Big Buddha is winding and a bit steep in places. There are various restaurants, ATV tours, Elephant rides to help you spend your money.
Big Buddha is one of the Ten most visited place in Phuket and the earlier the better to beat the groups. We caught it at sunrise and were the only ones their until security came to tell me not to fly my drone.
